Shiatsu combines the benefits of Chinese Medicine, the deep relaxation of Yoga and the nurturing effect of Massage all in one session.

~ Shiatsu ~

Shiatsu is a gentle and nurturing form of touch, a simple yet sophisticated healing art, that, like acupuncture, is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles of diagnosis and treatment.

The session is received with clothes on, and it's about helping the body to gain it's strength back by applying pressure on the meridian and points that are used in acupuncture.

The session lasts about an hour, it's very relaxing and pressure varies according to each situation and each client.

It's not painful, although sometimes it might reveal pain.


BENEFITS OF RECEIVING A SHIATSU SESSION

  • Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammation of the body’s tissue and attacks the linings of the joints. Shiatsu helps to limber muscles, gives muscles nutrition by improved circulation and also helps reduce muscular pain.

  • Shiatsu helps alleviating menstrual cramps.

Although a regular maintenance program of shiatsu is an excellent way to maintain wellness and improve vitality, the schedule will vary for each person.

Depending on the goal of the session the effects may be stimulating and invigorating or calming and sedative or both preventative and remedial.

~ Aroma Acupoint Therapy ™ ~
with Certified Organic and Artisan Essential Oils

Aroma Acupoint Therapy, or AAT, is a gentle, completely safe and yet profoundly effective treatment modality that utilizes the energetic potential locked within pure essential oils.

Treatment involves placing particular oils on specific acupoints or reflex zones on the body in order to trigger energetic changes in the individual that will bring her back to a state of balance.

Aroma Acupoint Therapy works on the basis of mutual resonance through the systematic and intentional combination of essential oils and acupoints, resulting in a more significant clinical effect than using either of these treatment methods alone.

HOW DOES AROMA ACUPOINT THERAPY WORK?

The basic premise is that essential oils, being energetically just as active as acupuncture points, have the ability to stimulate the points in a similar way as needles. However, the difference between them lies in the fact that unlike acupuncture needles, essential oils are also able to provide a content of information to the point that will suggest a particular type of therapeutic action.

THE TREATMENT SEQUENCE
Aroma Acupoint treatment consists of just one or two drops of an essential oil being lightly applied to the acupoint with a finger or cotton swab and held in place for a short amount of time.
The practitioner will select one or more treatment sequences or patterns that typically involve activating between three and eight points. In the context of bodywork, this may be followed and/or introduced by massage, deep tissue work, etc. (...)
Although Aroma Acupoint Therapy lends itself beautifully to being used alongside these other types of treatment, it does not rely on these for its effectiveness and successfully stands alone as a method of treatment. 
The practitioner will choose to perform one or more treatment sequence per session.

I will support you by providing guidance, encouragement, and holding you accountable to your word. Since most of this program occurs outside of our sessions, namely your everyday life, the results are really up to you.
